The
plant height is approximately 30 cm. The leaves of the sage are soft green,
between 2-4 cm long
The
sage is used to treat many diseases such as gastritis, tonsillitis, sore throat
and diarrhea. It has been used as a tonic, antispasmodic, and has been used
topically as a disinfectant and as a treatment for excessive sweating.
Dried
sage leaves are used in cooking to add a distinctive flavor to the food, and
extract the essential sage oil used in the manufacture of perfumes and soaps.
